KSREI Knowledge Resource Centres

The Institute takes pride in having a Libraries housed in a built-up area of 52,576.Sq.f and a seating capacity of 1250. The Library has computerized all its housekeeping operations using in-house development library software that is well maintained and updated regularly and it is connected to campus wide network. With the state-of-the-art technology, the users can access the print, digital and visual resources online throughout the campus and via internet also. Libraries working hours are from 08:00 am to 08:00 pm
The KSREI Library is well equipped with unique features and world-class infrastructure to encourage scholarly communication and professional development. The main objective of the KSREI library is to provide information services and access to print and e-resources to support the scholarly and informational needs of the KSREI community.
Library Committee headed by Principal includes HoDs, Librarians, Faculty Members, and Students. The Committee will meet once in six months to review the functioning of the library and to suggest steps for improvement/development.
Every year “USER ORIENTATION has been given to freshers to know the Resources, Facilities, and Services provided by the library. Membership is open to all the Teaching, Non Teaching, Research Scholars, and Students of KSREI.
The KSREI libraries has a collection of more than 2,92,000+ Volumes of books with 1,33,00+ different titles on a variety of subjects, 23,400+ Reference Books, 7,600+ Book Bank Books 1,150+ e-journals, 5,200+ e-books, 1,300+ National and International Print Journals, 15,300+ Back Volumes, 11,200+ Student Projects, 660+ Theses and 10,900+ Questions Banks.

Sufficient numbers of systems are installed in the Digital Library section with Internet access facility to access the e-resources. Users can access this section for educational, research, and development purposes. More than 20,600+ Non Book materials such as CDs, floppies and cassettes acquired / supplied along with the text / reference books / magazines are also kept in this section. National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) Video and Web courses are also available. Library has an exclusive research portal. Digital Library with 150+ computers and 120 MBPS internet Bandwidth is also available.

OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) facilitates online search related to books, book bank books, journals, CD/DVDs, Question Papers, back volumes and standards available in the library. Users can also reserve the books which are under issue. Users can also renew the books through online. Users can log-in the OPAC by using their Bar-coded ID/Roll number in the Member ID and Password columns. Users can change the password, if desired. OPAC can be accessed in all the intranet connected systems within the campus and Internet.
